In reference to the article about Jesus being equal to God, His Father YAHWEH by John McArthur, I commonly see this doctrine strongly held among modern Christians. I was converted to Christianity( I had a Judaen faith believing in YAHWEH alone.) Naturally I once put my faith only in the old testaments of the Scriptures. It is there where our Father mentions Messiah. His purpose, His fate and the signs that will follow. YAHWEH referred to our Savior and Lord as His Faithful Servant not HIMSELF. It seems as though we have forgotten that it was because God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.....The Scriptures does not say He gave Himself. Sin separates us from God, Yahshua took that sin upon Himself and cried out Eloi Eloi lama sabachthani meaning my God my God why have you forsaken me( mark15:34). YAHWEH cannot look upon sin... What was Jesus response to Peter when Peter answers Jesus Question whom do ye say I am?
Thank you for your comment. It seems part of the confusion is simply due to the reality that the relationships within the Trinity are veiled in the Old Testament. While the Old Testament does refer to Yahweh, His Spirit, and the Angel of the Lord, and equate all of them with God, it does not clearly deliniate them. However the New Testament clearly teaches the doctrine of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit who are equal in essense and power, but distinct in role and as persons. What is hidden and veiled in the Old Testament is revealed in the New Testament.
For example, in John 12:41 the Spirit-inspired apostle tells us that when Isaiah saw the glory of Yahweh in Isaiah 6, that was really the glory of Christ. That is one of many examples of how the New Testament teaches the divine equality of the Godhead.
There are many sermons on this website that may help explain this further, but I would point you specifically to the sermon "Deity on Display." Grace and peace to you.

I was greatly blessed on the article by Aaron. My name is Dave Wilgus and I found your sight while searching for stories on miracles.
I was saved at a late age in life, 25 and have been serving the Lord ever since. I have a great hunger for the Word of God, and Grace to You seemed to just attract me like a magnet to join you in this ministry. I am on a fixed income and struggling, but in future will try and do what I can to support this ministry the best that I can.
Thank you , Dave

I was on vacation for a week and when I get back, I no longer have GTY on our radio station in Dallas, Texas. Very disappointing. Was this a budget issue? Please come back. I listen every morning on the way to work. I need this.
We're sorry that the "Grace to You" broadcast is no longer carried on your station. However an alternative for you may be to take advantage of our broadcast on AudioNow. Using your cell phone, you can call (231) 460-1100 and listen to the broadcast at any time.

I just finished listening to the Legacy of Jesus part 1 and I just have to say how much I enjoyed it and am looking forward to listening to the rest of the series. GTY has so much to offer...it's astonishing to me; and it's all free of charge. Thank you!! May God continue to build His kingdom through your ministry for His glory and praise.
Thank you for your feedback.

I have no words to thank as GTY ministry has been a blessing isntrument in my life and ministry here in Brazil. Thank you so much!
I get inspired to keep a faithful God ministry of preaching and exposition of the Word of God when I hear and read messages from our brother in Christ, Pastor John MacArthur.
Thanks for keeping as much content free. Thanks for sharing this spiritual arsenal that has helped in the walk in Christ and the opportunity to proclaim HIM to the world.
God bless you!

My wife and I are so appreciative of GTY. Dr. Macarthur's teaching is so well researched, clear and contextual. We drifted to the Charismatic Church back in 2002 and bounced in and out of it until a few months ago. I knew what we were hearing was outrageous and did not fit with my personal study of the Bible. We just couldn't take the the craziness anymore. My wife had a popup of the Strange Fire conference on one of her pages and suggested we watch it. We did and were like sponges. We have watched the entire conference and then started watching the other videos every night. We are in the process of joining a local Church where the Bible is actually taught verse by verse chapter by chapter. It is so refreshing and comforting to be where we are now as we seek first His Kingdom with joy as He adds "all these things" unto us.
Thank you so much for the messages and each one of the staff at GTY for making Dr Macarthur's sermons etc available. It is so refreshing to hear someone speak "according to His Word" because there is light in him... and that light is shared and seen, and is a gift.
God bless each one of you.

I just wanted to thank you for being a true Church who truly follows Gods word. It's truly a blessing to have great leaders like John Macarthur who speaks the truth no matter what.
